사단법인 장애인법연구회는 2011 ‘장애인법연구회’라는 작은 공부모임에서 시작되었습니다. 매달 모임을 통해 장애인 관련 법과 제도를 연구하고 장애인 인권 신장을 위한 이슈를 발굴했습니다. 변호사, 검사, 판사, 법학교수 뿐 아니라 장애인단체 활동가, 예비법률가, 장애인 관련 전문가 등 각 분야의 다양한 회원들이 모여 장애인 인권을 공부하고 토론하고 있습니다. 장애인법연구회는 장애인 인권신장을 위한 공익소송, 제도개선, 정책제안, 입법운동, 국제연대를 활발히 하고 있습니다. 장애인법연구회는 2017년 공익사단법인으로 새로운 걸음을 한 발 더 나아가게 되었습니다.

Korea Disability Law Association (KDLA) started in 2011 as a small study group of jurists with the same name. KDLA is a non-profit corporation established upon a solid foundation of professional knowledge and experience. The main objectives of the Association are the study, clarification and development of both public and private Korea Disability Rights Law, and engagement in activities for the protection and advocacy of persons with disabilities in Korea. We seek to promote the human rights of the disabled through the improvement of the legal system, policy suggestions, legislative activities and international coalition works. As one of the most renowned organizations for the disabled in South Korea, we are taking a step forward, being officially recognized as a public service corporation in 2017.
